WELL. THAT WAS LUCKY

i finally played the new £100/£200 and lost £6,3k there. i played £40/£80 as well 3 handed but finished even. i only played against opponents buying in for £4k each on £100/£200 so the pots never got too big. i lost one with 99 v QQ when the board paired (meaning it was harder to get away from, but in truth i could have passed this, he made a re-raise pre-flop) that was for a £9,1k pot. and then lost a £7,2k pot 55 v 77 all in pre. no complaints with that hand, he was short stacked and i re-raised his 3x bb bet all in.

that was littlewoods. betfair though, i went onto a table ($100/$200) with perhaps one/two fish, who in truth weren't much worse than me, and 3 players were very good. i put $10k in. not long after i put another $10k in. and then $20k more, $10k more and $10k again, for a total of $60k. i think (but not sure) i went down to around $5k but managed to climb up to $59,7k in the end for a small $300 loss. when i started recovering we were playing 3/4 handed i still lost many many pots, very rollercoaster stuff for one session. one hand in $100/$200. jani sointula on the button makes it $550. he is playing super tight but has made a few button raises, i think at this point we're playing 4 handed so i have been raising his bb about 95% of the time so he probably feels he is allowed to raise me =), anyway i re-raise with 44 and he calls. flop is J43, all spades. i bet my standard bet and he calls. turn is a non-spade 7. i bet out again maybe $6300 into the $8100ish pot (very rough estimates). he calls. the river is another spade. can't remember the exact card but it wasn't a 5,6 or 7. i check to him and he bets half of my remaining $11k stack. i fold. i have no idea what he had there. maybe i should have called the river. the fact it was jani made the fold easier. so a £6500 loss instead of a £37,000 loss (if i lost my final $10k).
