2 DAYS OF £40/80
utg folds, hattoboy makes it £240, i call behind, sb folds and the bb makes it £1040 fairly quickly. hattoboy folds and i make it £2800, without much hesitation he puts me all in for a further £3795.50. unlikely to be ahead, but enough committed (in my opinion) i called.
pot £13,468
cards on their backs. for bb (baggweld) 99. for me 85o
flop 8 A A
turn 6
river 8.
later in the day i won £7k hu against holein2 and finished + £12k for the day. that was yesterday.
today just the one session of hu £40/£80. playing jibby hu on one table and holein2 hu on the other. things started well getting about £12k up on jibby one all in preflop with Q4o v A4 for £6.2k pot where i managed to turn a Q. i had a big pot where i turned a bigger fullhouse than jibby for £16,4k. eventually jibby turned things around though and my stack started disappearing.
this one jibby makes a great river call-
i raise to £240 on sb with 97o he calls. flop Qs 4d Th. i bet £400, he calls. turn is the 5d. i bet £1200 and he calls. river 2s. he checks to me for the 3rd time and i put him all in for £3980. pot is £3679. he calls with 106d and collects an £11.6k pot. in the end jibby finished just under £3k up on me. against holein2 i started well, getting it all in on the turn with top pair against 2 pair but hitting a 2nd pair on the river for a £16k pot. then a £10k pot where i runner runnered a flush against his flopped set. then i river a set to his top pair for £9k. soon i am £13k up on him but then jibby leaves and me and holein2 2 table hu and he comes back and is up a couple of £k up against me. then it is my turn to win, flopping a set and getting paid and then turning a higher 2 pair to his flopped 2 pair. but... then i do this (this hand was wp by him, he trapped me well)

Was thinking the same NLG - there is no way he's playing 'that' bad all the time as he'd need to be MEGA lucky to come as far as he has if he was.
I think you are right NLG. Ed has been rumbled.
I wonder whether he makes up some of his hands (and opponents too)? Definitley +EV in terms of table image.
That said, I suspect he's probably not very good for the levels he plays. Not trying to insult you Ed, just being honest.
The reason I say that is because Ed is well known now so a lot of the regulars he plays with will likely read his blog. If he was good he'd probably get some positive comments from people that have played him in the blog. I've not seen much in the way of comments of that nature.
If these players regard him as a fish they will say nowt hoping never to scare him off. Well, that's my theory :D
Good Sessions Ed!!
Another 25% banked I hope???
I dont care whether Ed's good or bad simply cool anyway! Go ED!
For the first time, while reading this post I actually thought the very same.
Guys...come on! Ed is absolutely true to what he says...I've seen his play, and he's not bullshiting us. He is clearly on the maniac-side on some hands...but this give him extreme value on the really good hands he plays. That's his secret. But the maniac-play is not planned...I just think thats how he is at the table. Correct me if I'm wrong :)
Some of these hands are just insane. The fact that your opponents are calling this light makes me think that they think you are full of shit, unsurprisingly.
Why not try a day where you dont bluff at all? I'm sure your opponents will still all call you down light and you will make huge £££!
Gl whatever though!

I saw you play that 13K pot with baggweld, I wonder why he typed "fu" in the chat box!!!!
