ZERO DISCIPLINE =(

i tried playing 2/5£ and $5/$10 tonight (the night of the 29th) but there were no big fish about, so i played a little £5/£10 and that was still fairly competitive so after a couple hours watching i joined £25/£50 with my crypto roll at £4k. i bought in for £1k and busted that fairly softly. then i bought in for another £1k. the table went to 3 handed. i was on the bb when the button raised to £150 or £175. the sb re-raised to about £600 and i pushed for £2100/£2200. the button passed. the sb called quickly with JQ, which was way ahead of my 95o. i floppped a pair and won the pot. soon after i re-re-raised all in with 66 and got called by AQ, flopping a 6 for a £9k pot. i got upto £12,5k before busting that over several medium sized pots. very disappointing but i should have lost with the 95 and none of that would have happened anyway. i had £2k left and put that into a different £25/£50 going. i managed to get to £3k, when i picked up AQo. i raised from the button and the bb called. the flop was Jc10cXx. he checked i bet £200 and he made it £750 after a little delay. i should pass here but i called, maybe the prospect of hitting a gutshot was good enough. the turn was of course the K giving me the nuts. he bet £1300 i pushed for £700 more and he called with KJ. river was safe and i got upto £6k. i finished that table on £7k. i played a little after that on $25/$50 and £10/£20 but only made a small profit. i played 15-30mins on betfair today and that was only on $5/$10. i made £60 there. my combined bankroll is £11,600, which is pleasing as a stat but today was the first time i went over £2/£5 (or $5/$10) and now means my bankroll is at risk to all go in one day since i'm not going to be able to drop levels.

Mate,

Your blog is getting repetitive. You have been through all this 6 months ago. You made BR rules and had deposit limits on your accounts. Now you are just making it more complicated with penalties, having someone to call at night, blah blah blah. Why bother?? You are just making an excuse.

Its your money! If you wanna put it all on one site and have a crack at playing the pros then go for it. If you wanna use it to buy a house then go for it. If you wanna blow it all on hookers then go for it. Its your money!

BUT realise you MAY be playing in a -EV game. If you are, no matter how you manage your roll you will lose it all. Some of the players you play against at the top levels are some of the best players in the UK. Are you good enough to beat em?

Only yesterday you were posting that you'd have some discipline. 24 hours later and it's out the window.
I think your idea of getting some to manage your money should happen sooner rather than later.

mate, why don't you stick it all on full tilt and play ivey in the $500/$1000 death match, would be better then spunking it away at micro $25/50 or $100/$200

Railed that crypto sesh until you were at the 12.5k mark then was too tired, it was gone 5am. Just before going to bed I wanted to shout at the screen for you to stop or at least play ultra tight for a while. The 96 double up was a lucky gift and the 66 was against the same player who no doubt then played until he got some/all back.

I have a friend who will regularly quickly spin upto 5x sometimes 10x his buyin with such risky and aggressive play and recently we've sat together working out what can be done to stop him losing it all back practically EVERY SINGLE TIME!

When he's done his attitude is "well, it was just 1 or 2 buyins, nothing ventured etc. etc.", a bit like your closing comment on the initial double up if you think about it.

Now, no one likes a hit and run player but if ever there is a time to change gears then the 10x mark (heck, even 5x) would seem as good as any, even if you miss out on a few pots.

In the year I've known my mate play he's cashed 2 or 3 nice wins, against maybe 20 or so 'could have been nice wins'.

Anyway, I'm off round there for a quick sesh, if he does alright I'm gonna nail his hands to the table lol.

GL anyway.

Its all getting a little repetitive and boring now, same old story, win big, lose big, borrow money... win big, lose big, borrow money...
heard it all before, many times.

Your post entitled 'In bad shape' generated 127 replies as we all wondered what next, is this the end? Your next post 'Little change' was exactly that but with a glimmer of hope in that you actually spoke of lower limits profit/loss strategy and trying to look after your br. Twenty-four hours later and your post 'Zero discipline' demonstrated your lack of discipline and has shown virtually zero interest from the blogging community as we all read it and think suprise suprise, imagine that.

In life we all try to learn by our mistakes, make one and just put it down to experience and try to learn from it and not do it again, but not you.

You were quite right, you got lucky with the 95o hand you played, you should never have been in the hand with that garbage, true muppet play. You went on to take your £2K total buy-in up to £12.5K. Did it never dawn on you to walk away with a £10k profit at that point, I know you reloaded and made a profit but the discipline comes in when you walk away on reaching you $12.5K. A profit of £10K in one day is more than the average UK family has to survive on over 4-5 months, will the true value of money ever hit home with you?

He's playing £10/£20 on Crypto at the moment. He had £450 when I started watching and is now up to £2567, but I'm not sure how much he's in for.
